Terms of Service

Last updated: 23 September 2026

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and CoolSolve LLP ("we", "us"), the maker of HushCall. Installing or using HushCall means you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app. How we handle your data is covered separately in the Privacy Policy.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use HushCall on Macs you own or control, for as long as you follow these terms. You may not resell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the app, and you may not reverse engineer it except where that right cannot be excluded by law.

3. Recording consent is your responsibility

HushCall records audio, and optionally video, of meetings. Recording laws differ by country and by state, and some require every participant to consent. You are responsible for knowing the law that applies to you and the other participants, and for getting consent where it is required. We are not responsible for how you use the app or what you do with the recordings.

4. Purchases, subscriptions and auto-renewal

HushCall is a free download, and recording and playback are free. The paid plans are sold through Apple as in-app purchases:

  • HushCall Pro (Yearly) — an auto-renewing subscription at $9.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial
  • HushCall Cloud Pro — an auto-renewing subscription at $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year. It includes everything in Pro.
  • HushCall Pro Lifetime — a one-time purchase of $19.99

Prices shown are in US dollars. The subscription terms Apple requires us to state:

  • Pro and Cloud Pro are auto-renewing subscriptions billed by Apple.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. If you start with the free trial, the first payment is charged when the trial ends.
  • The 7-day free trial converts to the paid yearly plan at $9.99 a year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
  • Pro and Cloud Pro renew automatically unless you cancel in App Store settings at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
  • Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price of the plan you selected.
  • You can manage or cancel a subscription in App Store settings after purchase (System Settings → your name → Media & Purchases → Subscriptions on a Mac). Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
  • Where a free trial is offered, any unused part of it is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
  • Prices are set per storefront and may change. Apple tells you before a price increase takes effect and, where it's required, asks you to agree to it.

HushCall Pro Lifetime is a one-time purchase through Apple. It is not a subscription, it does not renew, and there is nothing to cancel.

5. Refunds

Apple takes the payment, so Apple handles refunds under its own terms. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds for purchases made through Apple ourselves.

6. Your content

Your recordings, transcripts, and notes are yours. We claim no ownership of them and no licence to them. When you choose to use an optional cloud feature, you permit us to process the content you send for the single purpose of returning the result you asked for.

7. Third-party providers

You can configure your own API keys for Google Gemini, OpenAI, or Deepgram. If you do, your use of those services is governed by their terms and their pricing, any charges they bill are yours, and we are not responsible for their availability, their output, or changes they make.

8. AI output

Transcripts, speaker labels, summaries, and chat answers are produced by machine learning models. They can be wrong, incomplete, or attribute speech to the wrong person. Check anything that matters before you rely on it, and do not use HushCall output as the only basis for a legal, medical, financial, or employment decision.

9. Acceptable use

Do not use HushCall to record people unlawfully, to harass or monitor someone without their knowledge where the law requires it, or to break any other law. We may suspend or terminate an account used that way.

10. Availability

The optional cloud features depend on services we and third parties operate, and they can be interrupted, changed, or discontinued. Local recording and on-device transcription do not depend on our servers and keep working if those services are down.

11. Warranty disclaimer

HushCall is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a recording or transcript will be complete or accurate.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to HushCall is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost recordings, lost data, or lost profits. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Termination

You can stop using HushCall at any time, and cancel a subscription in App Store settings. We can suspend or end your access if you breach these terms. Recordings already on your Mac stay on your Mac.

14. Mac App Store

If you obtained HushCall through the Mac App Store, the following also applies:

  • This agreement is between you and CoolSolve LLP only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for HushCall or its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for HushCall. Support requests go to support@hushcall.app.
  • If HushCall fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to HushCall, including product liability, failure to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and consumer protection claims.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and may enforce it against you.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. Continuing to use HushCall after a change means you accept the updated terms.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
