Knows who is talking.
In a Google Meet call, HushCall notes who is speaking and reads the names: live in the direct download if you allow Accessibility, or from the recorded video in the App Store build when you record video.
Every line gets a name.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
By default, no. Recording, transcription and AI run on your Mac, and your recordings, transcripts and database stay on your Mac. Audio leaves your Mac only if you pick a cloud transcription provider: HushCall Cloud with Cloud Pro, or Gemini or Deepgram with your own key. Transcript text leaves only if you pick a cloud AI provider (HushCall Cloud, OpenAI or Gemini) and agree to it. So do event titles, the start of an event's agenda and names, if you use calendar events or saved your name. Our servers don't store any of it. The Privacy Policy has the details.
Recording and playback are free and have no time limit. The 7-day free trial is for Pro, and you start it inside the app. It's for new subscribers, once per Apple Account. For 7 days you get on-device transcription with speaker labels, summaries, action items, and chat across your meetings. After that it becomes the yearly plan at $9.99 a year, unless you cancel in App Store settings at least 24 hours before the trial endsbefore the trial ends, with the subscription management link in your receipt email. If you would rather not subscribe, Pro Lifetime is $19.99 once.
Text that was on screen while HushCall recorded a meeting window, such as slide titles, shared documents and code. Apple Vision reads it on your Mac. Add the optional 514 MB visual search model to also find moments by how they look. Video search needs Pro or Cloud Pro and works on meetings recorded with screen video (Settings › General › Record screen video).
Pro runs the AI on your Mac. Cloud Pro runs it in HushCall Cloud, with a larger model and nothing to download, and includes everything in Pro. It costs $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year. It is sold in the Mac App Store version of HushCall, and you can buy it without an account. No bot joins your call. HushCall records the call's audio on your Mac through Apple's ScreenCaptureKit, like any Mac app that captures sound. It doesn't announce the recording to the call, so tell people when you record them, and follow the consent laws where you and they are.
Your mic and the call are recorded on separate tracks, so your own lines are labelled You. For the other people, the direct download can read participant names live from the Zoom and Teams Mac apps and from Google Meet in Chrome, Edge, Arc, Brave and Safari, if you allow Accessibility access. Without it, names come from the recorded screen video. The Mac App Store version reads names from the recorded screen video, and only when you turn on Record screen video. If no names are available, speakers show as Speaker 1, Speaker 2.
No. Calendar reminders are optional, off until you turn them on, and free on every plan. If you turn them on, HushCall reads your calendar on your Mac through Apple’s calendar access, shows a reminder before a meeting, and can name the recording after the event. HushCall still never joins a call as a bot, and nothing is recorded until you click Join & Record or have auto-record on.
HushCall needs a Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later. Apple Speech transcription and Apple Intelligence need macOS 26. On macOS 15, HushCall transcribes with WhisperKit and uses a local model for AI, or a cloud option if you choose one.
Yes. In Settings, add an OpenAI or Google Gemini key for summaries and chat, or a Gemini or Deepgram key for transcription. Your own keys work with Pro or Pro Lifetime, so you don't need Cloud Pro for this. The provider bills you directly.
